The main attraction of the song for me is the steady rise through the song, from the slow steady beginning to the dramatic cresendo at the end. With a strong drum beat that remains consistent throughout makes it such an easy song to dance to and have a good time. Even if you analyse it you can kind of get the idea of the sound of a night out from the boring getting ready to the climax of a brilliant night! And you can tell that the Franz boys like a good night out as their new album is apparently the ultimate soundtrack to a night out.
Its a shame that I dont have a lot to say about it but it is a class song so I implore each and every person to listen to it and the lyrics are complex, repetative but easily singable!

Since the last blog I got to see Dirty Pretty Things at their last gig of the north in the words of Didz. Such a good night after the disaster of the original and the support act wasn't too bad either - thought he was possessed by Kurt Cobain though! And got to see Razorlight too. Good gig especially as they played most of the first album (the best!!) and the new album hasn't been sounding as bad as the second one! Am now having to wait another month until I can see The Cribs for the first time. am thinking it will be awesome!
Okay good first! So it was Christmas, my favourite time of year. And the present booty? Not too good but we are in the midst of a credit crisis (apparently!) but loadsa good cds and shoes!!!!! Finally managed to get the Lightspeed Champion cd I wanted - all you ever need to get through life. Personal highlight has gotta be everyone is listening to crunk!!! Okay other good stuff ummm uni - got an offer from Sunderland today actually, hence the happy smiles all round. Its conditional but only 180 ucas points. I say only but lets see how this goes! Umm comics are good, just found the best graphic novel ever maybe? Its called Heartbreak Soup totally amazing anyhows but sharing the name as my favourite song ever? Destiny if that exists!!!!
Not so good stuff now. Work mainly - I'm not supposed to blog about it but if I don't mention the name they'll never know! So yeah that and coursework is hell and school a bit crap but I have happiness in that aspect of my life via my POINTY!!! Um yeah just a bit of a joke between me and mates. Family are generally getting a tad less annoying but we've got all this crap with James again which I am not looking forward to at all :(
Okay as I now have my uni offer I will turn this into a seroius blog lolz. So totally inspired by the NIck Hornby book '31 songs' I'm gonna write a little bit about some of my favourite songs and ones that mean a lot to me over the next couple of weeks. Comments would be welcome, but since very few people read this blog, if any, am not expecting a lot.
Hope you had a good start to the year

Yes I'm gonna go there. Oh he that is considered God of new music. Get over it.
This is because I read the most factually incorrect article on monday courtesy of Andrzej Lukowski for the Metro!
It goes something like this:
Whether you think Alex Turner is such a lyrical genius that schools should ditch Shakespeare for the words to Mardy Bum or not, one thing is indisputable; he knows how to spend his cash. Most pertinently, he's poured a huge chunk of Arctic Monkeys' lucre into The Last Shadow Puppets. He and Miles Kane have taken the Monkeys' witticism-heavy pop-rock template and married it to the type of luscious Scott Walker/ Ennio Morricone orchestration that only lots and lots of money can buy. That they've less of a national chord than Arctic Monkeys is not in any doubt, as is the fact that Kane's band, The Rascals, haven't exactly reaped any benefits. However, as anyone who saw the Puppets at the Reading and Leeds festivals this summer can attest, none of this seems to matter when your live band features a 20-piece orchestra. Indeed, if the Puppets lack some of the Monkeys' focus on record, the stirring whirlwhind of strings and the fact that they actually look like they're enjoying themselves arguably makes them more enjoyable live proposition. The duo have talked about continuing indefinately, though pending the discovery Kane has one heck of a trust fund, you can't imagine he has much to say in the matter. For now, this band still has the air of a pleasurable indulgence - for us as well as them.
So can anyone see what's wrong?
Well my major point is the fact that he is claiming that this is all funded by Alex Turner. Now however much he has put in I don't think he funds it all, considering the fact that record labels, and especially the superb indie label that Domino is, do put collateral behind a band, not the band paying for it themselves. Hmmmm I wonder what Domino think about this article? .........
Til next time

Ok I know I said pictures reviews and that but due to unforeseen circumstances outside of my control, the gig was cancelled. Yes that made my perfect day! So it will be rescheduled soon honestly they say (it better well be) so all the info will be up ASAP I promise, and the review will be done if I can get there (damn this school trip to London). Get well Soon Carlos and I'm very sorry for the profanities and tears on Weds pls reschedule I'll love you forever, well I do anyway but back to matters at hand ..........
So I'll use to post to blog about amazing music that comes in the form of ...........
LOS CAMPESINOS
Yeah I know a lot of people have heard of them, well not a lot, but I heart LC! I've only ever seen them once before at a very empty Bradford St Georges Hall but they blew me away. They've got everything you could ever want, so here's the list:
- Boys with guitars - check!
- Keyboards - check!
- Hyper-jumpy-loony lead singer - check!
- Violins - check!
- Catchy songtitles eg This is how you spell ha ha ha we destroyed the hopes and dreams of a generation of faux romantics - check! (and yes this is written on my satchel!)
- Sing-along choruses - check!
See I would have a lot of pictures of them too had my phone not broken but just listen and imagine being in an empty hall that is crammed with about 50 people in the 2-3 metres in front of the stage - immense fun!
Have fun, and til next time I bid you Adieu

So hey anyone who's reading this (no one I bet knowing my luck, but lets not wallow in self doubt now not a good start). Hey I'm Indie Sindy, the rock n roll fashion queen as my friends put it. Well a little about me. I'm a teenager from England (woop woop!), totally obsessed with music and fashion, hence the nickname! The reason for me starting this blog ... basically to air my opinions and get practice for wanting to be a journalist. I really want to study music journalism, but I also love fashion. Now, my style. Some people would call it odd, but between me and Emma we got this description:
Audrey Hepburn, had she run off and married Carl Barat, been a burlesque dancer calld Holly Golightly instead of a socialite, been raised by Marilyn Monroe and Vince Noir (note the use of the character not Noel Fielding, that is important) and been best friends with The Glamour twins, Johnny Borrell and the Queens Of Noize, with mortal enemies of Kate Moss and a hell of a lot of other people. Sound fun or what?
To start, I will announce the dreaded news of the departure of the wonderful amazing Dirty Pretty Things. Last Wednesday, October 1st they announced their split, exactly one week, event to the time, before I was going to see them. Hmm a quandry for me, spesh with me idolising the lufferly Carlos and the rest of them to be fair, what to do? Well the gig is not cancelled at least, but can I bring myself to go see them? Of course I can duh but it has taken me this long to get over it. Ah well roll on Wednesday, plus get a full proper journalism review and maybe photographs here on Friday. YAY!
Comment me you fierce pplIndie Sindy
